As you are already aware the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) is a prestigious group of engineering colleges in India. There are sixteen IITs located across the borders of India located at Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Mandi, Mumbai, Patna, Ropar, Roorkee and Varanasi. To get into the IITs one has to take the ‪#‎JointEntranceExam‬ also known as‪#‎JEE‬. The oldest and the first IIT is the Kharagpur campus. The Government of India announced setting up of five more IITs in the coming years in Jammu and Kashmir, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Tirupati and Kerala.

  • Time Management: At the risk of sounding like a broken record, our experts urge you to focus on time management. It is imperative that you manage your time, plan and schedule all your daily tasks. While solving papers, keep your eye on the watch. Move on if you are unable to arrive at the solution within the stipulated time, despite the fact that you are familiar with the concept.
  • Know your strengths and weaknesses: You are the boss!! Have a clear idea on where your strengths and weaknesses lie. Know which chapter makes you shiver in your spine and which concepts are an absolute cakewalk. Allocate more time to concepts you are weak in during revision.
  • Plan: It is rightly said ‘If you fail to plan, plan to fail’. Plan right from studying the topic to taking the test and excelling it. Plan what to do for the day and finish it within the day. Don’t carry it forward to another day. If you haven’t finished the topic on that particular day, leave that and start a new one as per the schedule. You can complete the previous one at the end of the week.
  • Mock Tests: Take as many mock tests as possible. It will boost you up and make you confident. The questions would be asked in the exam point of view. Create a strong base by solving the questions from the subjects you are weak at.
  • Make cheat sheets: Write down all the important formulas, definitions and other important points in a paper. Revise it before your exam.
  • Relax: Don’t get tensed before the exam. Relax ,eat and sleep on time as your mind needs a break too!
